Lugh Lamfada
~~~
Thunder rolls across the wintery sky, hoary brine and ice fill the cold sea. Spring sleeps away in her tower locked away by Winter, that cold queen. Lightening enchants the blackened sky, fire breaks the ice with a berserk glee. The Hero who creates the flower arises with golden glower to face bold queen. Lugh, the God of the Stormy Sun-Sky, the Champion of Gaels forever Free, bright storm bringing rain shower, and cowards eventually cower when Lugh makes his creek.
Lugh Lamfada, Lugh of the Long Arm, he is the guardian who causes harm, to those who hurt the innocent Gael, for the creation of green life. Heil the Long arm of Lugh! Lugh Lonnbeimnech, the Fierce Striker, the one who saves Spring from Winter, for the well-being of the brave Gael, to end ordained cyclical strife. Follow the Striker Lugh! Heil to Lugh Macnia, Youthful Warrior, may he forever lead the great koryos to battle against the cruel and frail, those who fall to his bright knife. Heil Hero Lugh!
The red-haired bàrd, with silvery keening voice
Sings of hero Lugh
in the house of the bold fair-haired chief
Master of a hundred herds of long-horned cows
And a hundred strong-armed warriors
Whose silvery keening blades whistle in the twilight
--a hundred heads taken in the cattle-raid
To make a new song of the bàrd
For the chief and his clann
